About Sizemaven

Sizemaven is a free website with 18 sizing tools, for things like rugs, snowboards, kids' baseball gloves and dog crates. You enter a few numbers, such as your room size or your dog's chest. The tool gives one size, explains the rule behind it, and names the source.

Under the answer you see products on Amazon whose listings confirm that size. You do not need an account, and nothing is sold on Sizemaven itself.

Buying the right size usually takes two separate steps, and neither one finishes the job. A size chart stops at the size: it says 8 x 10 ft, and then you search for a rug on your own. A store stops at its own catalog: it shows its own products, sized with its own chart.

Sizemaven joins the two steps. It works out the size from published charts, then finds products that are actually sold in that size. The goal is fewer returns and less time spent reading charts.

Sizemaven is made by the Sizemaven team, a small independent team that builds every tool, reads the sources behind each rule, and checks the answers against them.
